Welcome to Rie’s Natural Gems Kitchen

Hello, I’m Rie.

Through many years of working in international business, I had the opportunity to share meals with people from around the world.

Whenever I introduced beautifully presented Japanese dishes, people often told me, “It looks like art,” or “I can feel the beauty of Japan through this meal.”

I also discovered that when I shared the stories and cultural meaning behind the ingredients and seasonal traditions, the experience became even more memorable and meaningful.
These moments inspired me to create cooking experiences that gently connect food, culture, nature, and the quiet beauty of Japan.

My classes focus on seasonal Japanese dishes inspired by natural food and macrobiotic elements, presented in an elegant and approachable style.
I carefully choose ingredients and seasonings that guests can easily find abroad, so they can recreate the feeling of Japan at home.

More than simply learning recipes, I hope each experience offers a peaceful moment to slow down, enjoy the seasons, and discover the warmth and beauty behind Japanese food culture.
